This is a maximum-security facility for inmates entering the jail system. In addition, locally sentenced felons serving sentences of one to six years are also housed here. While the facility can accommodate males and females, it houses only males at this time. The MCC provides a variety of virtual and staff-driven educational, spiritual, and rehabilitative programs that have two overarching goals: to reduce recidivism rates and create opportunities for men to experience success before release; a win for them and the communities to which, they’ll inevitably return.
If you are an attorney and need to put someone on the attorney approved visitor list, please email DCSOLegalVisitor@nashvillesheriff.gov for pre-approval. Types of attorney approved visitors include attorney interns, investigators, paralegals, etc. If you are not on the attorney approved visitor list prior to your visit you will be denied access to the inmate
