First and foremost, thank you for taking the time to schedule your bulk removal with our services. This is a free service to the residents of Davidson County. We enjoy helping our community!  Below, shares information on the process of our removal service.

We are prohibited on private property (such as: apartment, condominium and or townhome complexes), private roads, gated communities or business properties. Removal options if you do live in an apartment, condominium or townhome then we would ask that those items be placed front curbside at the main entrance to such properties.

Our services offer removal from the front curbside only and all items should be placed no later than 06:30 a.m. Requests made must be made by the homeowner or tenant and the homeowner’s/tenants property that we are removing. When calling you will be asked to list the items requesting to be removed, the address we are servicing, telephone number and the resident name whose house we are providing service.

Once a date is provided to you for removal services we have up to seven business days to remove the items from the provided date for example: caller is provided 1/3/2022 as the initial beginning date then we would have until 1/12/2022 to remove the requested items (holidays and weekends are not included for count).

By law we are prohibited from removing bulk items that resulted in an eviction.

 

Items that are authorized for removal include:

  • Old furniture
  • Sofas/couches
  • Lawn furniture
  • Lawn mowers (emptied of gas/oil)
  • Bicycles
  • Baby furniture
  • Mattresses/box springs
  • Carpets/carpet pads
  • Rugs
  • Computers/monitors
  • Copy machines
  • Televisions
  • Kids toys
  • Exercise equipment
  • Toilets
  • Refrigerators
  • Freezers
  • Water heaters
  • Microwave ovens
  • Air conditioners
  • Ranges
  • Washers/dryers
  • Lumber
  • Mailbox or fencing post with concrete footing
  • Automobile parts (including: fenders, hoods, metal bumpers, motor frames, transmissions, starters, alternators, radiators, rear ends, drive shafts and brake rotors.
  • Fencing
  • Pallets
  • Shipping crates
  • Construction debris
  • Basketball goal/swing sets and storage sheds (must be disassembled prior to placement curbside)
  • Hot tub must be in two pieces for pick up

 

Items that we are not authorized to remove include:

  • Motor oil
  • Tires
  • Household/hazardous chemicals/materials
  • Glass or mirrored items
  • Sheet rock/drywall
  • Roofing
  • Propane/gas tanks
  • Batteries
  • Nothing in bags
  • Sand, dirt, rocks or concrete
  • Paint cans (even if they are emptied)
  • Compressed air or gas tanks
  • Trash cans, shopping carts or other businesses products
  • Boats/automobiles/ motorcycles/jet skis
  • Brush or tree limbs (are picked up by Public Works quarterly)
