Spark Manager

The SPARK’s mission is to reach young people in Metro Nashville Public Schools
(MNPS) before the influence of the streets by using inspiring in-person
presentations of high energy school performances, creative arts workshops, and
personal mentorship.

SPARK SHOWCASE
Each show uses evidence-based teachings to encourage individuals to find healthy outlets, talk to
someone when they are facing physical and mental hardship, and to make a commitment to refrain
from substance abuse.
Showcases feature a free-to-school presentation that runs 30-45 minutes. It consists of high energy,
fast paced segments to deliver relevant interactive messages that will capture the student’s attention.
School shows feature several creative arts performances, music, skilled communicators, interactive
competitions, & more.
Our key points:
1. Find your voice
2. Find your help
3. Find your spark

*Showcase can be bilingual upon request

THE CREATIVE WORKSHOPS
Workshops are interactive educational and creative arts sessions that provide a place for youth to
find their outlet and use their talents. It is a hands-on way to give the youth a place to find purpose,
get involved, learn to work as a team, and create relationships with support mentors.
Young people are challenged to create musical performances, write songs, spoken words, etc. Each
student involved will be educated on how to abstain from substances while putting together creative
arts pieces to combat this issue.

*Workshops run once a month for 1 hour for 10 -15 students a session.

SPARK MENTORS
Our program understands that a one-time show is limited in its long-term impact within a school.
Therefore, it will work to provide a more personal mentorship for young people that need ongoing
connection in response to the school showcase.
Mentors will provide personal interactions with students empowering and equipping them to abstain
from substance abuse.

Mentor 6th-12th grade students in Metro Nashville Public Schools.
*Mentors will make bi-weekly visits to students for 30-45 minutes.
