FEMALE INMATE ESCAPES CUSTODY FROM NASHVILLE GENERAL HOSPITAL

**UPDATE  December 16, 2020**

A Nashville-Davidson County Sheriff’s Office inmate who walked out of Nashville General Hospital at Meharry early this morning has been captured.  Stephanie Raymer, 38, charged December 13 with felony probation violation was apprehended this afternoon by the Metropolitan Police Department.  She will be booked at the Downtown Detention Center on escape charges.

Initial investigation shows her last seen at 4 a.m. Wednesday

Raymer is charged with felony probation violation and has a long criminal history dating back to 2001 including drug offenses, aggravated robbery, and aggravated assault.
NASHVILLE, Tenn. – A Nashville-Davidson County Sheriff’s Office (DCSO) inmate, last seen through video evidence walking out of her hospital room at 4 a.m. Wednesday, is charged with escape. Stephanie Raymer, 38, of Brick Church Pike, was booked into the Downtown Detention Center December 13 and admitted into Nashville General Hospital at Meharry December 14. Due to her medical condition, DCSO policy did not allow use of restraints.
