MINIMUM CUSTODY INMATES WALK-OFF WORK DETAIL ASSIGNMENT
Both serving time for probation violations
NASHVILLE, Tenn. – At approximately 6:30 a.m. Monday, Davidson County Sheriff’s Office minimum-custody inmates Steven Hooberry, 32 of Joelton, and Jason Morris, 34 of Antioch, walked-off their work detail assignment at the DCSO’s Correctional Services Center, 5117 Harding Place. They were housed at the Correctional Development Center-Male, also on Harding Place.
With outside clearance, inmates work daily on various assignments including bulk-item disposal, grass cutting, and janitorial services.
The investigation continues and the public should call 911 if they see either individual.

DCSO Resumes Normal Operations for Weekenders:

As COVID-19 numbers rise in the community, they are also on the rise in the Davidson County Sheriff’s Office jails. Currently, 66 inmates are testing positive and the number of inmates on restriction is 481. When compared to the last week’s update, restriction numbers were 131 inmates with 27 testing positive. Vaccines are offered to the inmate population on an ongoing basis.
Additionally, until further notice, individuals required to serve “weekend time” should not report. Instead call 615.862.8367 to reschedule.
Courts are continuing operation; therefore, citations booking is not impacted.

FORMER SHERIFF’S OFFICE CORRECTIONAL OFFICER CHARGED
Shaquille Patrice faces four felony drug-related charges after attempting to bring drugs into jail
NASHVILLE, Tenn. – A former Nashville-Davidson County Sheriff’s Office (DCSO) correctional officer was charged Wednesday with four felony counts of possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver or sell. Shaquille Patrice, 26, of Clarksville, was hired July 1 of this year and assigned to the Correctional Development Center (CDC) located on Harding Place.
Working off a tip, DCSO officials searched Patrice when he reported to work December 3. During the search, two packages were recovered from inside Patrice’s sock and included marijuana, cocaine, methamphetamine, and ecstasy. He was immediately placed on leave and his credentials revoked. DCSO terminated Patrice the following day, December 4. The Metropolitan Police Department’s Specialized Investigations Division was contacted and began their investigation; swearing out affidavits Monday, December 14. “Bringing narcotics into one of our correctional facilities is not an issue we take lightly and we will prosecute anyone who does so to the fullest extent,” Davidson County Sheriff Daron Hall said. “This criminal behavior puts our staff, inmates, and the entire community at risk and will not be tolerated.”
Patrice was booked in the Downtown Detention Center around noon Wednesday. His bond is set at $130,000.

FEMALE INMATE ESCAPES CUSTODY FROM NASHVILLE GENERAL HOSPITAL

A Nashville-Davidson County Sheriff’s Office inmate who walked out of Nashville General Hospital at Meharry early this morning has been captured. Stephanie Raymer, 38, charged December 13 with felony probation violation was apprehended this afternoon by the Metropolitan Police Department. She will be booked at the Downtown Detention Center on escape charges.

Initial investigation shows her last seen at 4 a.m. Wednesday
Raymer is charged with felony probation violation and has a long criminal history dating back to 2001 including drug offenses, aggravated robbery, and aggravated assault.
NASHVILLE, Tenn. – A Nashville-Davidson County Sheriff’s Office (DCSO) inmate, last seen through video evidence walking out of her hospital room at 4 a.m. Wednesday, is charged with escape. Stephanie Raymer, 38, of Brick Church Pike, was booked into the Downtown Detention Center December 13 and admitted into Nashville General Hospital at Meharry December 14. Due to her medical condition, DCSO policy did not allow use of restraints.
Anyone who may see Ramyer, or has information leading to her arrest, should contact the Metropolitan Nashville Police Department at 615.862.8600.
The DCSO continues its investigation into the escape.
