Ambassador of the Year – Laura Sanderson
Laura Sanderson started her career with the DCSO in 2004. She is currently a Booking Supervisor, overseeing the work done by booking processors, releasing and criminal warrants. She performs various supervisory tasks and acts as a liaison with DCSO Booking Sergeants and Corporals, MNPD and more.
In her spare time, Laura chases around her very active three year old girl. Laura says “If I’m off work, she is likely right beside me. In fact, she wanted to attend tonight.” This past year, Laura participated in events such as the Minerva’s Closet prom dress giveaway, The SNC Chili Cook-Off to benefit the Last Minute Toy Store and collecting toys at the Downtown Metro Christmas Tree Lighting.
When asked her thoughts on winning Ambassador of the Year Laura says “Wow, I’m not sure. Humbling maybe. As a Christian, I strive to be the best version of me every day. I try to grow daily and offer grace and acceptance to as many as possible. I do these things because they bring me joy, not because I expect people to notice. It is always nice feeling appreciated though so thank you for the opportunity and the recognition!” Sheriff Hall we present our Ambassador of the Year, Laura Sanderson.
