The Davidson County Sheriff’s Office once again celebrated our 2020 Officers and Employees of the Month.  We also announced our 2020 Officer and Employee of the Year, who were interviewed and selected by a community panel for their inspired leadership, hard work, and commitment to their careers.

Officer of the Year

Officer of the Year – Morris Craven

Cpl. Morris Craven was born in Birmingham Alabama and raised in Tampa Florida. He joined the Sheriff’s Office in 2004.  As a Corporal in the Armed Services Division, his duties and responsibilities include moving inmates between DCSO facilities and the courthouse, as well as transporting inmates to and from  hospital/medical appointments, as well as other counties across the entire state for court appointments in Nashville.

Last year, our Officer of the Year took time off to assist with Hurricane relief in Texas, using his boat to rescue and provide aid where needed. He did the same this year in North Carolina. He also saved two flags from the flood, and presented Sheriff Hall with one of the flags during this year’s Officer and Employee Breakfast.
